F2F Events, Inc. emerged from the ashes of the IT event boom of the 1990’s. During this time IT professionals supported a number of regional tradeshows that were being promoted as local versions of the larger national programs. After initial success, attendees began to realize that the promised educational benefit of these local shows was not being delivered. Seminar content was often little more than veiled sales presentations, and the exhibit floor was frequently populated by vendors who could afford the entry fee, regardless of their focus. It soon became apparent that these marketing-based tradeshows did little to meet the needs of the IT community.
As a result, IT executives and their staff quickly turned away from those tradeshows, thus, causing qualified exhibitors to reject them due to the lack of qualified attendees. These factors, combined with the economic downturn that followed the September 11 attacks, left the once booming regional event industry in ruins. At this critical time, F2F Events arrived on the scene with an event model that could benefit everyone: an education-based conference with pre-approved content focused on the attendee’s principal areas of interest; complimented by an interaction with relevant IT manufacturers and regional VARs who can assist in accomplishing their organizational objectives.
With this concept, F2F launched INTERFACE in October of 2003. Now in its eleventh year, INTERFACE has become the nation’s preeminent series of symposiums focused on information security, IT infrastructure and communications. The INTERFACE 2014 Tour will take place in 16 markets, and with each event, F2F will continue its mission of helping IT professionals advance their business objectives through conferences featuring quality education, access to solutions and inter-personal networking.
In 2012, recognizing the need for conferences of similar quality in smaller markets, F2F launched TechJunction. Now in its second year, with the same enthusiastic support INTERFACE has received from local business communities and leading IT solution providers, TechJunction is thriving.
We’re looking for a charismatic new addition to our sales team.
